SOLAS, which stands for Safety Of Life At Sea, is a crucial international treaty focused on maritime safety. It establishes minimum safety standards for the construction, equipment, and operation of merchant ships. SOLAS ensures that ships are built and maintained to a standard that minimizes risks to those on board and the environment.
